How she works?
While I am passionate about what I do, the journey to this point has been filled with many stops along the way. I spent my 20's working in hotel management and my 30s working in retail management. It wasn't until I was in my 40's that I decided to return to school and enrolled in the social work graduate program at the University of Alabama. I, like so many of my clients, needed to find purpose and meaning in my life. After graduation, I began my clinical training. Graduate level social workers must complete two years of post graduate clinical training and then pass a clinical licensing exam before they can provide therapy.
After I completed the training and passed the exam, I began working with a wide range of clients from all ages and backgrounds. I see myself not as an expert but as a guide. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. My goal is to support & empower clients in their journey.
